Disposable gloves are made mainly from three materials. Each has a place, but they behave differently in a controlled environment.
Nitrile
Nitrile is a synthetic rubber. It contains no natural rubber latex, so it avoids latex allergy, and it has good resistance to puncture and to many oils and solvents. It can be washed and processed to low particle levels, which is why it is the most common choice for cleanroom work.
Latex
Natural rubber latex is very elastic and comfortable, with excellent touch sensitivity. Its drawback is that latex proteins can cause allergic reactions in some people, and many sites no longer allow it for that reason.
Vinyl
Vinyl (PVC) gloves are inexpensive. They are less elastic and tear more easily than nitrile or latex, and they are generally used for short, low-risk tasks.
Why BestSky Glove supplies nitrile
All of our gloves are 100% nitrile, powder-free and latex-free. That gives one material that suits cleanroom production, avoids latex allergy, and is available in Class 100 and Class 1000 grades, both ESD safe.
